While also learning about the history or Leeds and connecting with others from the community.

03
Education and Employment
You told us that education and employment are highly important for you, we can support you to apply and register for college, as well as ensuring you have access to resources such as stationary and books. If you are looking for employment we can help you make a CV, guide you on understanding your skills and assist you with building on those skills as well as registering with employment websites and applying for suitable roles. We can also offer interview skills support and advice.

04
Money management
You told us that that money management can be tricky to navigate. We can support you with understanding priority payments, accessing benefits, and opening a bank account. We also hope to run regular group sessions to support with this. To prevent barriers from accessing our services these will be provided free of charge.

05
Housing
Many of you told us that finding affordable accommodation is difficult. We can support you to register for social housing, make referrals to organisations offering accommodation and help you to understand more about renting privately. We can also help you communicate with landlords if you have any housing issues and go through contracts and inventories with you so that you fully understand before signing a tenancy agreement. We hope to integrate this into our community sessions.

06
How we support you
Currently we offer one to one support, and drop in sessions but you also told us you would like to access community groups and well being activities. The majority of responses told us that you would like regular life skills sessions, sports, arts and creative writing which we hope to offer in the near future.

Art Gallery Trip
We headed to Leeds city centre to explore the art gallery. It was so lovely to see so many of you join us. Participants enjoyed getting together to view the art and discuss each piece. Stories and memories were shared as we browsed the gallery. We enjoyed a snack together at the front of the building as it was a beautifully sunny day. Friendships and connections were made and learning took place through the history of the art and the processes in which it is created.
